Elder Oaks Just Declared Spiritual War on Globalism — But No One Noticed

In a moment that will go down as one of the most prophetically charged sermons of our time, Elder Dallin H. Oaks—an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ—stood in the heart of Brussels, the political capital of the European Union, and declared something the world was not ready to hear:

There is no worldly way to settle these differences that will achieve lasting unity.

Let that settle in. This wasn’t some offhand remark during a general devotional. This was a surgical rebuke, delivered from the symbolic throne of modern globalism and secularism, where the ideals of humanist unity, political progressivism, and technocratic cooperation reign supreme.

Elder Oaks didn't name names. He didn't wave political flags. But his message was as bold as a lion’s roar: Humanity cannot unite without God.

🌍 The Foundation of Globalism—Rejected

The great premise of globalism is that humanity can find peace, prosperity, and progress without religion, without divine authority, and certainly without Jesus Christ.

But Elder Oaks calmly shattered that illusion. He made it clear that every attempt to achieve peace—whether through diplomacy, economics, politics, or ideology—will ultimately fall apart. Why?

Because peace without truth is a counterfeit.

Unity without covenants is temporary.

Progress without Jesus Christ is spiritually bankrupt.

⚔️ This Wasn’t Just a Talk—It Was a Declaration

This was not a sentimental talk about being nice. This was a spiritual declaration of independence from the ideologies of Babylon. Elder Oaks issued a call—not just to be disciples—but to build Zion, to come out from among the unclean systems of the world and stand as a holy people, loyal only to Jesus Christ.

This moment cannot be overstated.

While world leaders gathered in summits to discuss climate goals, digital currencies, and cultural convergence, a prophet stood in their midst and said, in essence:

“These efforts are doomed unless they are centered on Jesus Christ.”

📜 7 Keys to True Unity—Elder Oaks' Blueprint for Zion

In his address, Elder Oaks outlined seven divinely revealed steps that will lead to true and lasting unity—not political, not temporary—but spiritual and eternal. Let’s explore them:

1. Follow Jesus Christ

The only being who can say without reservation “Follow me” is the Son of God. Elder Oaks re-centered the discussion around the Savior, reminding us that unity begins when we choose Christ as our exemplar, guide, and Redeemer.

2. Judge Not (Unrighteously)

In a world obsessed with judgment and outrage, Elder Oaks reminded us of the Savior’s command to “Judge not.” This isn’t a command to be naïve or passive—it’s a call to judge righteously, with love, mercy, and discernment.

3. Treat Others as Christ Would

The Golden Rule isn’t just a cliché. It is the societal glue that held Western civilization together—and it's disappearing fast. The Savior’s command to do unto others as we would have them do unto us is more essential than ever.

4. Avoid Anything That Deprives Us of Agency

This was one of the most eye-opening segments. Elder Oaks quoted President Nelson, warning against addictions, ideologies, debts, and even friendships that rob us of our spiritual agency. Why? Because when we lose agency, we lose the capacity to act as God’s representatives. This is a direct blow to the modern world’s obsession with escapism and indulgence.

He linked this back to temple worship, reminding us that covenants protect our agency—and therefore protect our unity.

5. Seek Perfection

Perfection is not just an abstract ideal. As Elder Oaks emphasized, it is the commanded destiny of God’s children. And the Savior's commandment to “Be ye therefore perfect” was given at the symbolic Temple Mount, underscoring the covenantal nature of this calling.

6. Stand as Witnesses of Christ

This wasn’t subtle. Elder Oaks reminded us that every baptized member of the Church has a duty to stand as a witness of Jesus Christ—at all times, in all things, and in all places, even unto death.

This is not a suggestion to stay quiet to avoid contention. This is a call to defend the faith.

“This does not mean to compromise our principles and priorities,” Elder Oaks declared earlier in 2024. “But to cease harshly attacking others for theirs.”

We are called to be bold but not bitter. Courageous but not cruel.

7. Be Filled with Charity

Finally, he pointed to the pure love of Christ as the highest law. Even the most profound acts of service—if not driven by love—are meaningless. Charity is what transforms ordinary efforts into divine power.

🏛️ Why Brussels? Why Now?

It is no coincidence that Elder Oaks chose Brussels to deliver this message. As the political and symbolic capital of the European Union, it is a place where religion is fading, secularism is king, and globalism is the prevailing dogma.

And right there, in that fortress of worldly unity, an Apostle of Jesus Christ planted a flag for Zion.

🙏 Are We Even Ready for This?

If the backlash to his October 2024 General Conference address taught us anything, it’s that many Church members aren’t ready for this message. Both conservatives and progressives alike criticized Elder Oaks for his call to “avoid contention,” misreading it as political softness or compliance.

But now it’s crystal clear.

Elder Oaks is not playing politics. He is pledging allegiance to the Kingdom of God.

And he is inviting us to do the same—before it’s too late.

🛡️ A Final Charge: Rise Zion

The world will not achieve peace without Jesus Christ. The governments of men will fail. The ideologies of Babylon will collapse.

But Zion will rise—with or without us.

So the question is: Will you rise with it?

Will you follow these seven principles and step out of the shadows of the world into the light of God’s Kingdom?

Will you be bold enough to stand as a witness—at work, at school, on social media?

Will you separate from the things that rob you of spiritual power and make covenants in God’s holy house?

The Lord is calling. Zion is rising. And Elder Oaks just sounded the trumpet.

Are you listening?
